St. Patty's Day

Almost everywhere I see a St. Patrick's Day card I hear "I don't have any or many St. Patrick's Day stamps". Well, it never has been a huge sending cards kind of holiday. But if you have a heart punch you can make a 3 or 4 leaf clover.
  • I used Garden Green card stock for the base of the card which took a trip through the Big Shot riding inside the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. They make the best impressions.
  • To make the clover I punched out 4 hearts using the Full Heart Punch. I also punched out a 1 1/4" circle, covered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue then stuck the hearts to that to give it somewhere to sit. Then pierced a hole with paper piercer for the Jumbo White Brad and adhered it to the card with a glue dot. Those little dudes are strong.
  • Used the Wide Oval Punch on Whisper White cs after stamping Good Luck in Garden Green ink from the stamp set Sincere Salutations.
Remember, until the end of March Sale-a-bration is going on so get on over to my Stampin' Up website and place your order so you can get your FREE items. For every $50 you order you'll get one FREE item of your choice out of the Sale-a-bration catalog.

  • Old Olive card stock was run through the big shot with the perfect polka dots embossing folder.
  • Photo corner punch in pretty in pink and rich razzleberry
  • the 2 x 1 3/8 oval punch in rich razzleberry
  • Stamp Thinking of You in rich razzleberry and punched it out with the scallop oval punch.

Workshop Goodies

Monday night a group of ladies gathered and madly stamped for over three hours. Some of them were brand new to stamping and some of them were old hands at it. (I'm not sure they would be appreciative of me calling them that) but we all had a good time. And produced 3 cards. One I have already shown you which is here. This is the next one I want to show you. We started with this card because of it's simplicity. It is probably self explanatory but when you start describing how to make a project it always seems like it takes more words then ever. Here is the directions:
  • The base of the card is a standard A2 card of perfect plum. 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 folded
  • Then use the scallop square punch and punch 3 out of certainly celery
  • On a piece of whisper white card stock, stamp, in certainly celery, one each of the 3 flowers from pocket silhouettes and punch each out with the 1 1/4" square punch.
  • Then on another piece of whisper white 5 x 2 3/4 stamp the leaves at the bottom and without re-inking stamp it again to the right. Ink again and stamp off on a scrap piece of paper then to the left of the original one.
  • Stamp the sentiment from Sincere Salutations at the top in Perfect Plum and put the card together referring to the picture.

The Medallion

It's finally here. The Medallion stamp is the #1 seller at Stampin' Up right now. It is listed as a background stamp but how could this not be a focal point. It has such a wow factor. If you look at the front cover of the new catalog this card, or a similar version, is there.

This is what I did.
  • I took a piece of naturals white cs 8 1/2 x 4 1/4, scored it at 4 1/4 and folded it in half.
  • Then I inked up that beautiful Medallion stamp with More Mustard ink and stamped it right on the front of that cs.
  • I took more mustard cs 4 1/4 x 1 and put the scallop edge punch to it. Adhered that to the right edge of the card.
  • Then added a piece of brown dsp 1/4 x 4 1/4, and real red cs the same size along the right side.
  • Stamped Thanks so much from Sincere Salutations right on the front in choc. chip.
  • I used the spritzer tool with more mustard marker to give the entire card a speckled appearance.
  • Then right in the center I attached a silver brad from hodgepodge hardware.
That's it and you have a great card to brighten someone's day.
