March Cards Birthday and Anniversary

I can't find where I cased this card from but if you know let me know and I'll give credit here. This made a great anniversary card with flowers and a special wish. The color combo is bright and the design is simple and elegant. The rounded corners at the bottom of the main image panel add just a little variety to the other square corners.
I hope you like it and give this vase trick a try. Use an oval punch to punch out any color card stock or dsp then straight cut one of the ends off. Turn it so that cut is on the bottom and "fill" your vase with flowers. You can also put texture on your vase by running it through the Big Shot with one of the many embossing folders, like I did here. Have fun and thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place.
Supplies:
Stamps: Oval All, Itty Bitty Bits
Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Real Red,
Ink: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist, Regal Rose,
Tools: Large Oval punch, Small Oval punch (retired), Scallop Oval Punch, Corner Rounder, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, 1 1/4" Square punch

Array of Sunshine challenge

I bright card for a bright summer afernoon and it fits the callenge over at Stamping 411. I used Array of Sunshine set, I love the solid images this set has to offer paired with Melon Mambo and Elegant eggplant they came out very vibrant. I then used the designer paper In Color from the just retired Concord crush which works well with the Eggplant, a small embossed piece of Melon Mambo card stock and a panel of Whisper White with the Tulip Frame brayered in Melon Mambo. The leaves are and card base are Old Olive,(an all time favorite) and the new elegant butterfly punch matches exactly being punched out of the dsp and then glitzed up with a rhinestone body. I popped Melon Mambo centers into the flowers by punching them out of cardstock with the circle from Itty Bitty Punch pack. And tied it all together with the In Color Concord Crush Ribbon.
Here is a close up of the butterfly.

Okay, I'm excited. This is the first time I've done the 411 challenge over at Stamping 411 Check it out, they have some interesting stuff going on over there. Great directions for projects with detailed measurements too. And I am so happy with how this card turned out. Pictures never do any sort of craft justice but that's what we have here to share. There are a lot of firsts for me in this card.I had never used Robin Hood Red before and I just got this beautiful Ornate Blossom stamp so I wanted to put it to use. Lap of Luxury Birthday

My grand niece turns 8 this month and she will be receiving this card with a little present tucked inside. This Lap of Luxury dsp has been one of my all time favorite papers to work with. I love purple and a whole stack of designs with purple as a main color in the form of Concord Crush has been a delight. And I am so happy that the In Colors get to hang around for another whole year. That is super. This is one of the items on the last chance accessories list so you have to act fast if you want your own beautiful paper to play with.
  • Also here you can see how the new Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch looks when it is set on all 3 layers. Makes a perfect center for the Bigz clear Flower die.
  • Also used is the branch from the 2-step Bird Punch and that is the Holly Jolly dsp you see.
  • I used the Itty Bitty Shape Punch Pak to get the small center of the flower
  • Then topped it off with a Basic Rhinestone.
  • The Curly Cute stamp set was usedalong with Concord Crush ink for the sentiment and curved with the bone folder.
  • To get that perfect end to the banner I cut a straight piece of Whisper White cardstock and used the corner of the 1 1/4" square punch to give it a nice tail.
  • It all sits on the base card of Pretty in Pink.
Thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place.
