Three Pink Roses challenge 259

Time for another Stamping 411 challenge.  The sketch this week is a panel of 3 repeated items of your choice and I chose those cute little roses from Flower Fest. Which is now retired but I'm sure there are lots of people out there who own it and still look for imspiration to make it into a card. I colored them by using my new set of watercolor pencils. I don't know why it took me so long to get these wonderful pencils but I am really enjoying them. This is my all time favorite technique for coloring. Head on over to Stamping 411 and check out the rest of the entries and the operator's work also. They even have measurements to get you going.
Thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place.

Challenge 255 A Day in the Park

You take a sketch and add card stock and designer series paper, a little stamping and a card comes together, right? Well, usually but this one was really difficult. It seemed to me there was one too many elements on the card and the measurements weren't working out right, I'm not totally thrilled with the results but I will give it to someone, I do like the stamped image panel and the pops of color. Okay, it's all right. I guess they can't all come together easy peasy.
This is what I did. I stamped each tree in it's own color but first I inked the stamps with Versa mark then the color so I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I masked the top area and sponged the grass. I punched out a oval scallop and used that against the sky to form clouds and sponged the sky. Rounded the corners. Then mounted this piece onto cs with dimensionals.  Cut 2 2" squares of  dsp and used the scallop trim border punch on them. Then backed them with Calypso Coral cs. Embossed the card base with the Finial Press ef and added a piece of dsp along the bottom. Put it all together. Added the bow, butterflies with basic rhinestones and I am finished.
