6 x 3 Card

I have a few minutes today to get a post up, I haven't done that in a while because I have been traveling. Spent 5 weeks in the southwest part of these great United States. Wow, did God ever make a beautiful world for us to enjoy. We had a great time hiking and sightseeing and enjoying some friends and family along the way. Now it's back to reality. It's 5 degrees this morning. Yikes. That's colder than I ever want it to be. I'm a more like 75 degree girl but we shall survive this too.
On to the card. This is a little different one. First it measures 6" x 3" and that because I received these envelopes from somewhere and I need to make some cards that will fit into them. It was fun designing a card for that. I got my idea from Mary Fish and her wonderful blog Stampin' Pretty. She is an amazing artist and I have learned a lot from her. This card was sent to a long time friend for her birthday, I hope Cheryl liked it.
I used several punches and the tasteful trim XL die. Also Cute by the Inch for the images. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzleberry and of course Whisper White.
I hope you enjoyed this little card. Thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place.

Orange Bliss

This is a card that my upline, Cindy Fodor, sent to me. Isn't it beautiful. She made this card with the Bliss Saleabration set. It's one of those FREE items that you can get with just a $50 order of Stampin' Up products. There are over 50 stamp sets that you can choose from and Designer Series Paper pack and there is even a Button and Ribbon package that you can choose.
  • Also used the Duo Scallop Square die that was featured in the Holiday Mini catalog but is still available. It makes two easy scallop squares in a snap with the Big Shot.
  • The scallop square punch along with the 1 1/4" square and the 1 3/8" square punches were used
  • And the Boho Blossoms punch to get that cute little flower with the brad in the middle
  • Isn't the ribbon adhered to the card in a unique way
Any questions let me know. Thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place .

One cupcake at a time

Here is a stamp set that is very versatile. It is called The More The Merrier. It's a hostess set but you can qualify to receive this set with a $250. show. So get your friends together and place an order and you will have this set coming to your house in no time. The cupcakes are just one of four groups featured on the stamps.

  • I have a standard side fold card 8 1/2" x 4 1/4' folded in half.
  • I stamped the cupcakes on whisper white cs 1" x 4 1/4" with basic black
  • I paper pieced the cupcakes with rose red and tempting turquoise cs, you do that by stamping on colored cs in black and cutting each piece out carefully and gluing them on where they fit. Sort of like a puzzle but you are making the pieces. Even the little cherry is pieced.
  • I colored the rest of the cupcakes with markers. Yoyo yellow, pretty in pink, close to cocoa (for the chocolate), and gable green for the leaves.
  • Back the white piece with rose red 1 1/2" x 4 1/4".
  • Punched another scrap piece of rose red with the scallop square punch.
  • Stamped the sentiment on white cs and punched it out with the modern label punch
  • Cut out a 1" square of tempting turquoise
  • Assembled those three pieces together and put them on with dimensionals.
That's it, CAS. Any questions email me and thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place.
