Build a Blossom in Daffodil

Sale a bration is such an exciting time. When you want stamps and supplies this is the time to get them. For every $50 you spend at Stampin' Up you earn a free item. That can be a stamp set or some other items listed in the sale a bration catalog. How easy is that?
Posted by PicasaHere I have made a card using the new Build a BLossom stamp set and the Blossom Petals Punch. It is so fun to stamp and punch. I love it and I bet you will too.
  • This card was made with Dafodil Delight card stock and ink.
  • Night of Navy ink for the center and accent on the strip
  • Eyelet border punch was used for both the DD strip and the card stock weight vellum layer, which was run through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.
  • Old Olive card stock got used for the little leaves
I think it is striking and can be used for almost any occasion, just add your sentiment to the inside and it's ready to take a ride in the mail truck. Do you love to get "real" mail. We get so much junk mail these days that a real card in amongst all of that is a real treat. Send someone a treat today. They will love you for it.

Party Hardy at the card making party

Last Friday night I hosted a card making party at our church building and all of us had a very good time. There were about 20 women who took part and some of them had never stamped before and were very surprised that it was what it was. I am not sure what they expected but they all took part in the festivities where we used the Big Shot to make one of the cards which you can see here. And then we made these other two cards. Merci and Wonderful Friend.
This uses a sale-a-bration set from 2008, Merci, which I just love hehe. And some supplies that have been hiding in my stamping studio. Like Positively Pink yikes. Now that's old but it was perfect for this card and for the situation because it wasn't actually a Stampin' Up event. There were four of us that just wanted to share our craft with other ladies in our congregation. It was tons of fun and the time went so fast.

With this card I did get to show off the Big Shot with the use of the little leaves sizzlit die. They were rightfully impressed and the prep time for this project was short. I used Itty Bitty backgrounds on whisper white cs in brillant blue and Wonderful Favorites for the sentiment also in brillant blue ink. These cards both go together very quickly and of course can be tailored to just want you need a card for and who.

Thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place.
