Stamping 411 Challenge SSC258 Round not Square

Every Friday night Stamping 411 puts up it's Saturday Sketch challenge. Usually I start thinking about what I'm going to do right away but I have a lot of things going on right now. Other projects keeping me very busy so today I finally got to really look at what the sketch was about and finally an idea really just popped into my head. I have been wanting to make a circle shaped card and I knew I wanted daisies on it. Several weeks ago on splitcoaststampers the inkling was making shaped cards and I used that technique here. After I put together the white circle with the daffodil delight dsp and the regal rose scallop I was afraid running it through the Big Shot with the embossing folder would ruin the look but it just enhanced it. I think adding the little green leaves was just the final touch to really set off the pink flowers. I am thrilled with the way this card turned out. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place and taking a look.

Stamping 411 challenge 220

When I finished this card I realized that it is very appropriate for fall. I am happy with how this turned out. The sketches over at Stamping 411 sure do help when putting a card together and coupled with the Color Coach it's just down right simple.
Here are the measurements:
  1. Layer One -- Cardstock cut at 5.5 x 8.5", scored and folded to make your Card Base
  2. Layer Two -- DSP cut at 4 x 5.25". Trim again at 2", reverse the pattern and use both sides of the DSP. Separate with a ribbon or strip of cardstock or paper.
  3. Layer Three -- Cardstock cut at 3.75 "x 2.5"
  4. Layer Four -- DSP cut at 3.5" x 2.25" -- embellish with a circular or other shape -- add brads, to the corners.
I used Tempting Turquiose, Tangerine Tango and Old Olive for my colors. If you have any questions let me know. Thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place.

Tiny Teacup Joy

Here is another Christmas card and something I love. With just a couple of changes, color and sentiment you could use this card for any occasion. Mary Fish had this on her blog and I cased it almost completely. I changed the bow a bit and the brad (retired) which matches the cup perfectly.

Unlike Mary I did do surgery on my Tiny Teacup stamp. When I received it the cup and hello are on the same piece of rubber. I slipped my craft and rubber scissors right through the middle of them and mounted hello on the side of the stamp, in essence making two stamp out of one small one. Also making it easier for stamping just the cup. Just be careful when you do this not to cut any vital organs.
The small ornament on the sentiment was stamped again on garden green and punched out with the 1/2" circle punch and the on real red and snipped out. It really adds a punch of color.

If you need anything email me and I will be happy to help you. If you have a demonstrator please contact her.
