Classic Pocket Watch

Today I am so happy with this card. Yesterday was my dad's 85th birthday and I gave this card to him. It's an old time item for an old time guy made to look like a pocket watch. I got my inspiration for this card from here. I basically cased this card but I didn't have the stamps she used so I used what I had. I am happy with the results.

  • First I cut out two circles the same size. About 4 " in diameter.
  • Then one 1/2" smaller.
  • After stamping an image that fit exactly into the scallop circle punch I punched it out.
  • I stamped the circle of dots and the A then punched out the circle with the 1 3/8" circle punch.
  • The I used the small and large oval to create the handle of the watch
  • Any swirly or vine stamp would work here. Like Boho Backgrounds little flower stamp.
  • I sponged the edges with choc chip ink and used more mustard card stock.
  • The word window is bent in half and it's what holds the two large circles together and creates the stem.
Thanks for stopping by At Paula's Place.
